Hi My name is Kristi Key I am a dog and cat groomer by trade and a critter lover in general. I must admit that dogs have always had a special place in my life. When someone accuses me of going to the dogs, I just agree with them. I wouldn't have it any other way.
I bred and showed papillons for sixteen years. Disillusioned with AKC politics I stopped for nine years. When I decided I wanted a standard Poodle for a pet, I contacted Karen Sisco and went to her home to look at a litter of puppies she had. That's where I saw my first parti Poodles. It was love at first sight let me tell you! I had always loved the poodle personality, but it's those spots that made them perfect.
With Karen's help I have a good foundation to start with and I'm now breeding and showing toy parti poodles. My breeding program goals are to develop a line of healthy, temperamentally sound, beautiful, show quality and uniquely marked toy poodles. I plan to keep a puppy from every litter I breed, so the last thing I want is to have veterinarian bills or a bad personality to deal with.
Not every woman can be a Miss. America, not every dog can be show quality. That doesn't mean that you or your dog can't be the best looking on the block! Non show quality dogs can do doggie sports like obedience and agility. Many poodles enjoy visiting nursing homes or hospitals with their people. Perhaps the most favorite thing for all of us to do is sit in front of the TV cuddling with a friend.
